Condolences

Condolence From: Gary Jones from Palm Springs, CA
Condolence: It was nearly 40 years ago that Harry Reid was my mentor and my advisor and my friend; I remember him fondly from our days in Scouting and the Order of the Arrow. He helped me in ways that are too numerous to explain....I am a better person today because of my association with him. Tom and Karen, you were blessed with an amazing father. Thank you for sharing him with so many people over the years.

Condolence From: Sandi "Rosebud" Christie
Condolence: Dear Tom, Karen, and families. I am so sorry for your lost. I met your father through our mutual interest in the Post Balloon Club and the Red Cross. He was the perfect example of how a person should live their life. His smile lite up the room and his warmth was comforting. Thank you for sharing him with us. I was very happy to come as Rosebud and share his '80th' birthday with you all.

Condolence: Harry Reid was an inspiration and mentor in my life. Being the good neighbor and man that he was, I knew from a young age that he was always there to lend a helping hand, give sound advice, and offer humorous wisdom in times of need. He taught me many things that I carry with me to this day - including how to swing an axe, build a fire, and hone my skills in the outdoors through scouting. I know through Harry that there's no greater reward than the one you receive through helping others. God bless him and his family. It was an honor to know such a great man.

Condolence From: Clif Conklin
Condolence: Although Harry and I are separated by some 30 years I still feel as though we have a strong connection. Harry and I both volunteer for the Red Cross and we are both involved with Scouting. These two organizations gave us plenty to talk about over the years. I always felt that Harry and I were kindred spirits because of this. I always enjoyed listening to Harry speak about what was important to him because as he did so I thought that they were the same things that were important to me. Honor, truthfulness, family, dedication to a just and right cause, and helping others, to name but a few. You always knew where Harry stood on an issue, and if you didn't.... he would tell you. I will miss his gruffy voice, his laughter, his overabundant smile, ..... and I will never forget him. He was one special guy.

Condolence: Neighbor, mentor, problem-solver, organizer, and most of all - friend. Harry was always there with help, advice, a laugh, and every tool known to man. I still have a round tuit that he made. Harry had it all figured out and organized because he said "I don't like to work too hard!" I grew up next to the Reids and learned a lot about life, leadership, and service from Harry. His dedication to service inspired me to follow a similar path. I am honored to know Harry and call him a friend. Dave Peck
