PROFESSIONAL SERVICE CHARGES

We are pleased to provide you with a full disclosure of our professional service charges.

To help you understand funeral costs we have prepared an outline of the categories that make up a funeral account. There are basically four sections that make up a funeral account: professional services of funeral directors and staff charges, casket and other merchandise options, cash advanced items and appropriate taxes where applicable.

To help consumers, legislation states that all funeral homes must provide an itemized price list of all of their related professional service charges as well as casket and merchandise charges. This list must be available at the consumers' request without cost or obligation.

We pride ourselves as a funeral provider with a high level of professionalism, the quality of outstanding facilities, and second to none ethical standards which sets us apart from most funeral homes.  Consumers and families usually learn first-hand why our services produce a satisfaction of memory enhanced ceremony which is both respectful and value driven.  We trust that our service will provide substantial reasons to make Bachman Hebble a real consideration when selecting the funeral home you wish to have your family member cared for with compassion, dignity, respect and integrity.

CASKET & MERCHANDISE SELECTIONS

This section is specific to the casket that a family selects. All of our caskets and merchandise is priced separately - meaning the price you see for the casket is for the casket itself with no other items included. This can often become confusing to families. Some of the other types of merchandise you might find in these section of the funeral account are: burial vaults, cremation urns, and upgraded stationary packages. Again, each is itemized based on your selection and a total is itemized under the "Casket & Merchandise Selections." Receiving funeral homes cannot charge any handling or administration fees when a casket is purchased elsewhere.

CASH DISBURSEMENTS

Cash disbursements are as they imply.

Strict legislation ensures that these items are not marked up and only the exact "cost" is included on the funeral account. Typical cash disbursements might include:

  • Cemetery lots, opening/closing charges
  • Family flower sprays
  • Long distance transfer charges by auto or airplane
  • Coroner's cremation permit
  • Newspaper notices
  • Clergy honorariums

Many of the above agencies and cemeteries have a firm requirement that payment in full be made by the day of service.  As a convenience to the family, we will accept personal family checks or a cashiers check written to these agencies and present them to the appropriate representative for the family.
