From Karen's Monday sewing and craft group. Karen was a very important part of our group. We loved it when she was able to come. We miss her.

Lots of good memories from serving and worshipping with you at Calvary Baptist, especially being in the Berean Class with you.

I will always remember Rick and Karen dancing the night away with the "younger" crowd at Rachelle's wedding. Their hotel room also happened to be directly under the room we ended up partying in that night and they didn't complain one little bit. Karen has always taken an interest in her kid's friends. She was the kind of person who took the time to sit down and talk, ask how you had been and really care. She will be missed by so many and was loved so greatly.

Am so sorry to hear Karens death. Sending my sympathies to all of you. I grew up across the street from the Jennings and Karen was the “big sister “ I never had. Although she was a few years older, she took me under her wing. Back then, we all shared “party line” telephone service. Supposedly we were never to know who each other were, but we quickly learned and both Karen and I became the headaches for our parents tying up service and often just talking to each other. Admonishments by each other’s parents were common when were told just go “across the street to talk you two.” Karen and I often would ride our bikes on “adventures”. They included one trip to Binder Park, where so exhausted we couldn’t pedal home. She went about flagging down every pickup and saved the day when one stopped that to our surprise was a neighbor. He was sworn to secrecy “ don’t tell our parents we got a ride.” She arranged for him to drop us off a block away and as far as I know, the secret always remained and the little “white lie” that the “Jennings and Dilsavers girls” made a round trip bike ride “all that way there and back” impressed our parents to no end. What wonderful memories I have growing up; and Karen is front and center. Prayers for all of you; may the plentiful memories shared give you much comfort in the days ahead. I’m so very sorry for your loss. She was one of a kind.
