Linda Marie Louise Moffett Barlow
Beginning April 7, 1945 called to glory June 1, 2020. She was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois by her parents Mary and Fred Moffett. She graduated from Englewood High School. Married to Robert W. Barlow, an Air Force veteran who served 28 years. As a military spouse she traveled to many places stateside and abroad including residing in the Philippines and England. After returning to the United States, she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services from Siena Heights University. She was a substitute teacher for numerous schools in the Battle Creek area as well as a paraprofessional at Kellogg Community College. She also was a member of the YES We Can family.
Gave her life to God and became a member of Second Missionary Baptist Church March 23, 2003. There she assisted with the HBCU visits, helped in the office, assisted in the kitchen, and was a member of the book club. She was always ready to lend a helping hand whenever she was needed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank (Mary) Moffett.
Married to Robert W. Barlow for 49 years. She gave birth to three children: Michelle S. Self (JC Self), Tanneisha S. Barlow, and TreMayne R. Barlow. Her grandchildren are Gregory Gilmer, Jason Self, Christopher Peters, Brenden Barlow, Alexander Barlow, Treiona Barlow, TreShawn Barlow, and Tristan Barlow and a great grandchild, Jeremiah Barlow.
